Nearly 200 residents and their families and friends have benefited from our unique community-based adult family homes, some of whom have required help to pay for the cost of care. Jamie’s Place is facing the reality that there is an aging population in the valley that will need long-term care but doesn’t always have the means to pay for it. This results in an increasing number of people seeking a room at Jamie’s who are low-income and qualify for Medicaid. Unfortunately, DSHS in Washington State only provides 50% coverage for Medicaid residents of Adult Family Homes, which means each Medicaid resident needs additional support to cover the cost of care. As we adapt our business model to meet changes in healthcare, aging, and increasing rural poverty, support from this wonderful valley community is key to assuring that Jamie’s Place remains the valuable and well-loved resource that it has been for so many years.
Ongoing Support for Our Current Residents
Support the Crucial Expansion of Jamie’s Place Adult Family Home
We are dedicated to creating a future where every elder in our community can live with dignity and respect. To achieve this vision, we need your support. Whether through financial donations, volunteering, or spreading the word about our mission, every bit of help makes a difference. Together, we can ensure that Jamie’s Place remains a beacon of hope and compassion for future generations.
Our commitment to serving this community has never been stronger, and this is reflected in our ambitious expansion project. With the addition of 24 new beds scheduled to come online at the beginning of 2027, we are poised to meet the growing demand for long-term care in our valley. This expansion project is not just about increasing our capacity; it’s about enhancing the quality of life for our residents and ensuring that every elder in our community has access to the care they deserve.
